Information event on HIDA funding opportunities for PhD students and postdocs who would like to apply for a short-term research stay at one of the 18 Helmholtz Centers

Are you currently working on your PhD thesis or are you a postdoc and your research is strongly related to (applied) data and information sciences?

The Helmholtz Visiting Researcher Grant and the HIDA Trainee Network offer PhD researchers and postdocs the opportunity to complete a fully funded short-term research stay (1 - 3 months) at one of the 18 Helmholtz Centres. Applications are welcome from national and international research organizations, universities, private industry or other Helmholtz Centers.

The goal of both funding lines is to facilitate new research collaborations, promote knowledge exchange, and explore new or emerging research topics in the field of information and data sciences. They are aimed at researchers from both academia and industry.

On Thursday, August 17, 2023, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. (UTC +2)

About the HIDA Research Grants:

Who can join your group for a research stay through the HIDA Research Grants?
Doctoral researchers and postdocs whose research has a strong link to the (applied) information and data sciences. Applications will be accepted from national or international research organizations and universities or the private sector (see Helmholtz Visiting Researcher Grant), or from other Helmholtz Centers (see HIDA Trainee Network).

What is the goal of the grants?
To connect researchers from different research fields, enable the exchange of knowledge and methods, and build an interdisciplinary community of data scientists.
HIDA and the respective Helmholtz Centers are responsible for the administration and coordination of the program. The application process is easy and the administrative load minimal for host supervisors.
