Start of a New Lecture Series: From Idea to I Did
Are you curious on how to become a Scientrepreneur? Are you also confused about the differences between a spin-off and a start-up? What is seed funding? MVP? Customer panel? And ROI?
Helmholtz researchers cooperate with industry, advise decision-makers, found companies and license inventions. New technologies, sustainable solutions, innovative medicines: our knowledge benefits society. We also make our unique research facilities available to external experts. In this way, we ensure a constant flow of ideas and solutions for practical applications. But sometimes, getting started with your own business idea is the hardest part.
At our event Helmholtz researchers can learn/refresh all the basics with a crash course on entrepreneurship by our facilitator Klara Lindner (Mobisol) and then get in direct exchange with the young start-up founders Ingmar Wolff from heliopas.ai GmbH and Lucas Steinmann from preML GmbH!

Our Speakers
Ingmar Wolff
Ingmar Wolff has committed his professional career to bringing cutting-edge technologies into serving humanity and creating commercial success. Industrial engineer by degree, he has worked as data scientist at KIT and as business developer for a startup incubator of SAP. He has co-founded heliopas.ai GmbH, where he serves as CEO and oversees product management, sales and strategy. He will share on a personal level about how to develop resilience when faced with high-risk situations and how to cope with the unevitable failures along the way.
Lucas Steinmann
Lucas Steinmann and his two co-founders started their computer vision start-up preML GmbH in 2020. Since then, they provide their customers with AI-based quality inspection solutions in the construction industry. Prior to this, Lucas studied computer science at the KIT. The fast-paced field of deep-learning allows him to integrate new technologies into preML's products and keep close contact to his previous field of study. preML is currently looking for seed investments to extend its business operation into other application markets.
